Herbal Actions:
Peppermint: Carminitive herb with high volatile oils that have anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effect on the mucous lining of the stomach. The oils in peppermint are what helps the body expel gas.
Ginger Root: Antacid herb which reduces acid content in the digestive tract.
Dandelion Root: Bitter herb which triggers specific reflexes in the body that aid digestion. Regulates production of digestive juices in salivary glands, stomach, pancreas, liver. Regulated production of bile in the liver and real of bile from the gallbladder. Bitter herbs also contain self-repair mechanisms of the gut wall.
Burdock Root: Antacid herb containing inulin, which is a prebiotic substance that promotes the growth of healthy intestinal flora.
Meadowsweet: Astringent herb that is high in tannins which tightens tissues thereby reducing inflammation.
